Marbach repositions itself with new organisation for the future

Marbach is repositioning itself for the future with a new sales structure, the introduction of ‘Production Centres of Excellence’ and new industry management re-organisation for its most important target markets, folding carton and corrugated board.

“At the end of 2019, we started our sales project under the motto ‘future security’. From the beginning, the objective was to perfectly equip the Marbach Group for the requirements of the future. Our focus was above all to be on the optimal support of our customers,” said Bernd Klenk, Managing Director.

The results of the project – a market-oriented set-up of the sales department and industry management connected to a multi-location production strategy. Previously separate German and International teams have now been merged and are under the unified leadership of the new overall sales manager, Jan Brunner. Industry management has been taken over by two former sales managers Silvio Gruber and Bernhard Reisser.

There is now a Production Centre of Excellence for each of the most important target markets. These centres will ensure that innovations and improvements are developed and implemented more quickly and efficiently across all sites. The industry managers will look after the needs of their respective industries and act as links between the sales department and the Production Centre of Excellence.

“Due to this restructuring and our new multi-location orientation, we can make full use of our strength as a globally active group for our customers. We will continue to help them cope even better with the cost and competitive pressures they face every day. At the same time, we can offer our customers the security and flexibility of a globally active group of companies. Especially in crisis times such as the COVID-19 pandemic, it will be important not to rely on a single supplier who only produces in a single location. Backup will be important. And customers will have this backup with us. Because we produce in many European countries as well as on almost every continent, we can ensure that our customers will always be supplied with the tools they have ordered, even in exceptional times,” said Klenk.
