At the recent the Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC) Folding Carton Bootcamp, Marbach was also represented with a technical presentation, which took place on the second day of the event, May 21. The two Marbach experts Fernando Pires and Miles Guessford presented the complete workflow in the area of tool making and use in die-cutting to the participants.
The training course offered an in-depth insight into the individual process steps – from the manufacturing of cutting-dies to stripping, blanking and stacking. Not only was the function of each individual tool explained, but its contribution to efficiency and precision in packaging production was also clearly demonstrated.
“Tooling is the backbone of the die-cutting process,” explained Pires. “Only when tools are optimally coordinated can high-quality packaging be produced efficiently.”
The event offered participants an opportunity to understand the complexity and importance of using the right tools in industrial packaging production – explained first-hand and in a practical manner by experienced Marbach experts. The PPC Bootcamp has established itself in the industry as an important platform for knowledge transfer. For Marbach, participation was once again a great success – and a valuable contribution to the qualification of young professionals in paperboard packaging.
