Marbach Group has confirmed it has joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Marbach is committing itself to pursuing concrete and science-based climate targets that are aligned with the 1.5-degree target of the Paris Climate Agreement.
“Sustainability is not just a claim for us, but a commitment,” explains Peter Marbach, Managing Director, Marbach. “Our responsibility goes beyond economic success. We want to make the right decisions for tomorrow today – and do so in a transparent and verifiable manner.”
As part of the SBTi commitment, the Marbach Group has set itself the goal of significantly reducing its emissions by 2030:
- Reduction of direct (Scope 1) and energy-related (Scope 2) emissions by 42%,
- Reduction of indirect emissions along the value chain (Scope 3) by 25%.
These goals underscore the company’s long-term commitment to environmental and climate protection. Marbach already relies on energy-efficient technologies, state-of- the-art machines, conscious use of materials, and close cooperation with sustainably oriented partner companies along the entire value chain.
