Maker & Son, a luxury sofa and bed designer, has commissioned Switch Sustainable Packaging Specialists to provide a mattress toppper box that aligned with their sustainable values to elevate their offering.
Maker & Son needed a packaging partner which could advise on creating the ultimate design from scratch that aligned with their sustainable values. As this was a new product launch for Maker & Son, the minimum quantity order was an important factor to initially gauge the response and interest from the customer.
Switch Sustainable Packaging Specialists, the UK-based packaging design consultants, created a prototype of the corrugated packaging. A ‘telescopic’ packaging style was brought to life. This design accommodates the various different product sizes within the one packaging design to ensure the utmost cost efficiency for the new product launch.
Once the design was approved, Switch then managed the manufacturing process carrying out quality checks throughout. High-quality graphics were printed onto the corrugated design to clearly identify the Maker & Son brand.

They were great at highlighting technical constraints and providing alternatives design solutions that work better.
