Smurfit Kappa Brazil has confirmed that its CEO, Manuel Alcalá, received the mayor of Maranguape – Attila Câmara – and his team, for the inauguration ceremony of the cornerstone of the plant expansion project in the Maranguape.
The amount to be invested in the project is $33m and it will be used to install new machines, including a corrugator and high quality flexo converting equipment. The project also includes the creation of a new Innovation Center – focused on stimulating collaboration and co-creation with customers.
“With the expansion, Smurfit Kappa seeks to serve its customers even better and develop the regional packaging market, offering more technological, sustainable and customised options for the needs of our customers,” said Alcalá.
