“We do not only deal with requests for standard large format 3, 4 & 6 corner boxes, now we have to upgrade these standard types of boxes with silicon tape over hot melt gluelines,” says Dr Jens Neumann, CEO of Prima Verpackung and Primawelle in Diemelstadt, Germany. “Over the last few years, our group has grown fast,” he continues. “Recently, we installed a new 2.8m corrugator, invested in a new 16,000 sqm building and now we are increasing our converting department for brown boxes.”
Part of this expansion included the installation of a new 2100 Easyfold folder gluer. “We bought the machine from Xiamen Fuyin Machinery Co and specified some state of the art extras, such as two servo drive inline tapers, box turning devices, autoset and new intelligent safety features that allows us to work with the machine smoothly. We are now well prepared for any market requirements,” concludes Dr Neumann. The project was handled by Xiamen Fuyin’s German agent, KF-Machinery GmbH.
