Based in Nijkerk, Netherlands, Kroon Packaging has recently installed a new Solarco Boxmatic 23DCFM-D with pallet feeder. The Boxmatic DCFM-D is a universal machine for short run production of slotted boxes, trays, pads with additional die-cut and printing possibilities.
“This investment increases our short run boxmaking capacities and improves quality, especially for custom sized large packaging used mainly for furniture,” explains Jan Meulenbeld, Managing Director and owner of Kroon Packaging. “This investment also allows to offer customers custom printed short run boxes, from very small wraps, right up to big boxes for displays.”
With one pass technology, this machine uses stock sheets to ensure rapid reaction to customer needs. “Kroon can now produce the boxes on demand using the Solarco boxmaker,” explains Jan Čech, Sales Manager at Solarco. “They can now prepare scored sheets, cut to size in one pass and no longer have to wait for delivery of specific sheets from their suppliers. This will save time and manpower for Kroon Packaging.”
