It has been reported that JK Paper of India is set to build a new corrugated board plant in Punjab. The new plant is expected to come on-stream in December 2022. The investment is Rs. 150 Crore (approximately €17m).
One of the largest producers of paper in India, JK Paper joins other paper companies that are looking to expand their market offerings, particularly when it comes to corrugated packaging. Like all countries around the world, the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a significant rise in demand for corrugated packaging, especially as e-commerce starts to grow in India.
