Item Products to showcase Corru-loc innovation at Packaging Innovations

Item Products says it will showcase product innovations at the forthcoming Packaging Innovations and Empack event, taking place on 21-22 February 2024 at Birmingham’s NEC.

The spotlight this year will be on Corru-loc, the latest offering from Item Products. In providing a secure yet easily releasable fastening solution, Corru-loc is perfect for both doublewall and triplewall corrugated boxes. Its main advantage lies in its cost-saving potential, as it allows users to lock, unlock, and reuse the same box multiple times without damaging the box or misplacing any parts. This innovative fastening solution stays affixed to the cardboard container, facilitating easy and repeated access and can also incorporate a separate security tag.

Alongside Corru-loc, Item Products will be exhibiting a wide collection of its products. Among these are fully recyclable Persson handles that are made from 100% paper, capable of supporting 30kg and available in 100 variations. High-end cords and braids will also feature.

Another highlight is the Box Latch™ reusable carton closure device. In demonstrating the importance the company places on sustainable supply chain solutions, this device reduces waste and cost while enhancing manufacturing efficiency.

Visitors can also expect to see an assortment of interlock locking clips, carrying handles, POS display hooks, euro studs and rivets designed for point-of-sale presentations. To cater to the mobility needs in packaging, Item Products will also display various wheels and stabilisers.

Emphasising the theme of ‘reuse before recycling’, Item Products continues to promote their sustainable practices. Their products, made with either 100% or 30% recycled content, are exempt from plastic packaging tax and fit seamlessly into domestic recycling streams.

Julian Cook, Director, Item Products, said, “As ever, we are excited to demonstrate our comprehensive range of innovative and environmentally-friendly finishing solutions and accessories at the event, especially with our new addition, Corru-loc. With our strong track record for developing sustainable packaging solutions, we are confident that the show will be busy and productive all around.”
