David Williams, Managing Director of GTS (Europe) Ltd, has confirmed the company recently secured a significant order for a Weipong Venus-1025 flexo foler gluer, complete with Emmepi Group strapping and wrapping systems, from Somerset, UK-based RH Fibreboard Containers Ltd. The line, which features a three colour casemaker, was ordered in December 2019 and it is expected to be installed in the late summer.
“To get the most performance from this machine, we asked GTS to offer us a complete turnkey solution that would include casemaking, inline bundle strapping, conveyor and end of line pallet strapping and wrapping,” states Sean Baxter, Managing Director of RH Fibreboard. “This is a major project for our business and we are looking forward to significantly enhancing our converting capacity further with the installation of this new line at the end of the summer.”
Manufactured by Weipong Machinery, the Venus-1025 is a top printing flexo line, with lead edge feeder. The three colour machine will have vacuum transfer throughout and a rubber roll inking system. It will also feature a double shaft slotting unit and a rotary die-cut unit equipped with an anvil grinding system. The folding and gluing unit features a counter ejector and bundles will then be sent for strapping on an inline, fully automatic Emmepi Prima 1400 strapping unit. The bundles will then be palletised and transferred on a GTS Europe finished goods conveyor line, feeding into an Emmepi pallet press and Emmepi Group stretch wrapper.
