Entry level short run boxmaker
UK-based GTS (Europe) Ltd has recently launched the GTS Boxstar to the European market, a simple to use, entry level boxmaker. The company will be showing the machine for the very first time at the upcoming UK Corrugated & Print Show in Liverpool on 24th and 25th June, hosted by the UK Sheet Plant Association and FESPA, alongside a Solarco machine.
“The GTS Boxstar is an easy to set machine and is perfect for someone starting off making boxes or wanting to run smaller production runs,” explains Paul Herson, Sales Manager. “Using stock board, there is now no longer the need to cut sheets to size first.”
The machine utilises a touch screen, where the operator enters the required FEFCO code; parameters are entered and the machine then automatically sets. Sheets can be loaded into the suction feeder allowing the operator to load the finished product onto a pallet at the delivery end. Stock board of 2-8mm thickness, 2500mm width and unlimited length can be converted at up to 400 sheets per hour.
“From simple lids to 0415 style boxes with hand holes, this machine really is a great start off or addition for your short run box making requirements,” adds Herson. “The addition of the GTS Boxstar neatly complements the extensive range of boxmaking equipment that we market for Solarco, as it acts as a nice entry level machine to get customers into short run boxmaking.”
