Under the guiding principle of “A running team that creates Kando(inspiring beyond expectations)”, the Komori Athletic Team is dedicated to delivering inspiration to the printing industry and local communities through various social contribution initiatives. As part of these efforts, the team hosted track and field clinics in June 2025 in the cities of Mito and Ushiku, located in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan.
These events, which offered children the opportunity to interact with professional corporate athletes, provided a valuable experience to discover the joy of athletics and the spirit of taking on new challenges – nurturing their dreams and hopes for the future.
A collaboration with a local track and field club in Mito City began in June 2023, following Komori’s participation in the 7th Hinuma Natsuumi Marathon. Continuing from last year, Komori co-hosted its third joint event on June 7, 2025, as part of ‘Play Sports Mito 2025’. A total of 30 elementary and junior high school students from the area participated in the clinic. Through direct interaction with Komori’s corporate athletes, the students experienced the joy of athletics and were inspired to envision their own dreams and goals.
On June 14, 2025, Komori held its annual track and field clinic at Ushiku Sports Park. With the support of the Ushiku City Running Club, approximately 80 participants – from elementary school students to working adults – joined the event. This clinic aims to foster ongoing interaction with the corporate athletes between participants and the community. Participants had the opportunity to enhance their athletic skills by training alongside the Komori athletic team.
