Imprimerie Ideale Choose Edale

With 14,000 sq. metres of production space, Imprimerie Ideale is becoming one of the largest suppliers of packaging solutions for Morocco ad Africa. Founded in 1932, this converter has purchased an 8 colour (full UV) Edale FL5 Carton with an FDC-510 flatbed die-cutter, primarily for the production of folding cartons, in order to enhance capabilities of printing within the food, beverage and cosmetics industries.

After being impressed with Edale’s innovation, automation and print quality, Ideale decided that the Edale press was their best solution. Ideale’s longstanding business partner, Reda Moukite of Redagraph, commented, “Edale have a unique technological advantage with the FL5 press. The capability of printing carton and flexible packaging, on the same press with high results, is a huge benefit.” Morocco have a demanding market for food packaging and with their new FL5 press, they aim to become a major carton packaging supplier in the region.

Ideale also opted for a film pack which enables them to pint film substrate alongside cartonboard. The FL5 press comes fully equipped with the Edale (Aiir) Autonomous inking, impression and register) Advanced Register Pack. Benefits include consistent quality and control through the print run, job data storage and recall from camera system as well as automatic register set-up and continuous register monitoring.

The FDC-510 flatbed die-cutter combines the best of sheet fed flatbed die cutting technology with a cutting edge servo driven constant tension web transport system. Benefits include a short set-up time (under 15 minutes), an approximate 90% reduction in solid rotary tooling, high productivity and speed as well as being reconfigurable for different carton sizes and form.

The Edale FL5 printing and converting system running in line with the Edale FDC-510, web fed flatbed die cutter, makes a highly efficient solution specifically designed for short run folding carton production.
