Impact Environmental Group consolidates its position, with plans for further expansion

IEG EMEA, a division of the Impact Environmental Group with operations situated strategically across the US and the UK, has strengthened its position to become a leading European operator in the provision of waste and recycling products and service solutions.

In 2023, two UK acquisitions cemented the group as a global waste industry category leader, as UK Container Maintenance (UKCM) and Capital Compactors and Balers (CCL), joined Container Components Europe (manufacturer of Duraflex lids), and Egbert H Taylor to sit within the IEG EMEA’s portfolio of aligned industry-leading brands.

Impact Environmental Group recently hosted a Transatlantic training event.

Founded in 1999, IEG as the parent organisation headquartered in Elgin, IL has rapidly grown into a global environmental products and services business, providing a comprehensive suite of new and replacement products for waste containers, collection and compaction equipment, and waste transportation equipment, and it is ambitious to expand IEG EMEA further where synergistic opportunities can enhance their customer value proposition. Going forward, IEG EMEA has a dual strategy of organic growth and further acquisition.

David Williams, Managing Director, heads up the new IEG EMEA board and is joined by Pete Dickson, Commercial Director, and Lisa Powell, Finance Director – all having considerable UK waste industry experience.

The EMEA division, as with the wider global IEG organisation it resides within, plays an important role in the pursuit of a circular economy, providing products and services to the global waste and recycling industries. The business is a procurer of top-quality materials and a key advocate for sustainability, whilst maintaining competitive prices.

IEG is working towards brand-wide ERP integration, harnessing the latest cutting-edge software through one e-commerce platform and one customer experience team. Utilising multiple regional locations in the UK, the IEG EMEA division is achieving faster shipping times, reduced costs, and minimised product travel time. These factors not only enhance operational efficiency but also underscore a commitment to meeting customer needs promptly and sustainably.

The IEG EMEA division is currently pursuing significant global supply chain cost leverage, with overseas sourcing, and synergy benefits to come from shared systems with its US parent company for financial and procurement services.

As a solutions provider for the waste industry, IEG EMEA is working towards achieving a central ordering and sales platform soon. The UK-based business is already merging its brand sales, commercial and customer services teams, to offer its customers a unique value proposition.

IEG as a global group is pursuing integrated logistics offering a combined lower carbon solution as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to the circular economy. It is committed to making investments that improve efficiencies and facilitates further growth through enhancing its overall customer value proposition.
