Ian Heskins, the former New Business Development Director of Wiltshire-based GWP Group, has announced his retirement after 34 years with the business.
Heskins was part of the original team at Great Western Packaging, having been invited to join the then startup by founders David Pedley and Charles Eatwell. Eventually becoming GWP Group, and being purchased by Macfarlane Group in 2021, he helped grow the company from its humble beginnings to a £20m business.
Heskins commented, “Being part of GWP and its journey over the years has been hugely rewarding. I’m very fortunate to have seen a business go from nothing to the scale of success it now has. I feel quite privileged to have been able to be the part of that.”
