HYBRID Software are all set to launch PACKZ 6.0 in the late summer this year. It is a powerful native PDF pre-press application that controls every prepress aspect for the cartonmaker. Packz is bursting with professional tools to make the carton ready for offset or digital printing.
Packz has a CAD based ‘step and repeat’ module that automatically positions artwork accurately on the die-cut, applies station and the new waste numbers; it also automatically applies bleed with common knife overstepping. The ‘turn and tumble’ technology makes back repetition out of the front and the mutual register can be checked using view options. Advanced decorating with Live Objects completes the repetition with dynamic register marks, ink eaters, control strips and more. The software exports CIP files for tuning offset ink zones.

The VDP Execution option combines the static and variable design elements in optimised PDF layouts and outputs any quantity at lightning fast speed to any digital press.
Larger variable data volumes can be executed in the background using Cloudflow and the VDP Boosters. Cloudflow is a modular production workflow suite for file processing, asset management, soft proofing and workflow automation.
