Hinojosa 2020 report shows growth of 3%

Hinojosa closed 2020 with a turnover of €430m, up 3% compared to the previous year.

As a result of consumer behaviour changes, e-commerce and food were the sectors with the largest increase in packaging demand and therefore played a key role in this positive performance. Despite the fact that it was a complicated year, marked by the COVID-19 pandemic, the importance of packaging as an essential activity to ensure the entire supply chain’s proper functioning has been highly recognised. To meet these challenges, the group’s priorities were to ensure the safety of 1,900 employees and the ongoing support of over 8,000 customers, ensuring fast and flexible service in the face of unprecedented fluctuations in demand this year.

Even during this uncertain period, Hinojosa continued to drive innovation, a fundamental lever for its growth. One of year’s highlights was the launch of 360 Green Packaging, the new range of sustainable primary packaging that responds to new market trends.

To further support this strategy, Hinojosa plans to invest a total of €130m over the next three years, mainly in innovation, digitalization, energy efficiency, and improving the competitiveness of its factories.
