Heiber + Schröder Maschinenbau GmbH has confirmed the successful installation and commissioning of a new CE Pro conical tray forming machine (erector) at Martens van Wezel Kartonnages B.V. in Helmond, Netherlands.
This latest installation marks a significant milestone in the long-standing partnership between the two companies, representing the fifth Heiber + Schröder machine to join Martens van Wezel’s advanced converting department.
The new high-speed CE Pro conical tray former is expected to deliver an incremental production capacity of up to 50 million packages annually, significantly expanding Martens van Wezel’s manufacturing capabilities. This investment directly addresses the surging market demand for sustainable, high-quality solid board packaging within the European foodservice and fresh produce (AGF) sectors.
“We are honoured by the continued trust that the team at Martens van Wezel has placed in our technology and service,” said Ricardo Molina, Head of Global Sales, Heiber + Schröder. “Conical packaging may seem straightforward from the outside, but achieving perfect execution at high volumes requires deep expertise, precision engineering, and absolute reliability. Seeing our fifth machine hit the production floor in Helmond is a testament to what a true collaborative partnership can achieve.”
The implementation of this fifth production line equips Martens van Wezel with several key strategic advantages, including increased overall capacity, shorter lead times, and enhanced manufacturing flexibility to easily absorb seasonal peak demands.
“We are extremely proud to have reached this milestone together with Heiber + Schröder. Over the years, their machines have consistently proven themselves through outstanding reliability, build quality, and performance, making them a trusted partner in supporting our growth and ambition,” stated Joost Hazenveld, Managing Director, Martens van Wezel Kartonnages B.V.
“Heiber + Schröder extends its warmest congratulations and thanks to the entire management and production team at Martens van Wezel for a smooth preparation and installation process,” added Jan Michaelis, CEO, Heiber + Schröder. “We look forward to supporting Martens van Wezel’s continued growth as they deliver hundreds of millions of sustainable packaging solutions to the market in the years to come.”
