BoxWay Packaging Group has confirmed the recent start up and commissioning of a new Hanway HighJet 2500B water-based high quality digital printer at its Exeter plant. The new machine was sold and installed by Hanway’s UK and Ireland agent, GTS Europe Ltd.
The UK-based packaging group, which operates three strategically located sites, was looking for a digital printing machine that was easy to use and allow them to produce high value, digitally printed, short to medium run work. The machine was part of an investment plan announced in 2021, which included confirmation of an exciting and new initiative to expand its offering in the POS & display, promotional and presentational packaging market.
Andrew Woollard, CEO, BoxWay, said, “We have been impressed with the capability of the new Hanway HighJet so far. GTS Europe and the team at Hanway offered excellent installation and training services and we are now starting to really build the workload for this impressive machine. We were struck by the importance of using water-based inks with digitally produced packaging and in our view, the HighJet certainly stands out in its class.”
David Williams, Managing Director, GTS Europe, said, “We are delighted to have this great water-based digital printing solution installed at such a prestigious company as BoxWay Packaging Group. The company will benefit from this high speed, easy to use digital printing machine and it will enable them to service their expanding customer base with short run and customised corrugated packaging solutions, all printed with water-based inks, meaning full recyclability of the finished boxes.”
