It has been reported that Hamburger Recycling – part of the Prinzhorn Group – has acquired Eurocart, the Italian recycling and waste management business.
The deal was completed on 1st December, but terms were not disclosed. The deal follows Prinzhorn Group’s acquisition of Scatolificio La Veggia in September this year, signalling its move into the Italian market.
Eurocart handles about 239,000 tonnes per year of recovered paper, meaning that Hamburger Recycling has now significantly expanded its capacity for recovered paper to 2.1 million tonnes per year from 39 facilities in 13 countries.
