Groundbreaking for Bahmüller Corrugated Board Division

BAHMÜLLER has invested again in further growth at its Plüderhausen headquarters, located nearby Stuttgart, Germany.

“The economic recovery is noticeably picking-up speed,” reported Michael Holtmann, CEO/Managing Director and Ulrich Wolz, COO/Business Unit Manager Corrugated Board Division. The latest groundbreaking event took place on 26 July 2021. With the investment in further assembly and production capacities at the headquarters, Bahmüller will create the space needed for further growth.

Already since 2018, the production capacity has been doubled through construction of a new assembly hall in order to optimise the assembly and production workflow. Due to the strong growth and demand, especially in the corrugated board converting division, a further expansion of production capacities is now on the agenda.

“The company was able to record a clearly positive business development in all divisions in the first six months of 2021, which means that we are already significantly above plan in the current expectation at the end of the year,” said Holtmann.

“Our mission is to make our customers even more successful in their own business with innovative solutions,” added Holtmann. “In the grinding machines and corrugated board converting divisions, the second quarter in particular was well above plan in terms of order intake. Assuming that order intake continues to develop positively, we expect to be around 30% ahead of the previous year and 18% ahead of the original order intake forecast by the end of the year.”

Wolz continued, “With further production area and additional employees, our Corrugated Board Division will be well positioned for further international growth.”

Completion of the production and assembly hall is scheduled for February 2022.
