Greif, Inc. has appointed Geoffrey Westphal as Director of Sustainable Technology.
Greif has a comprehensive sustainability program and Westphal’s role will focus on introducing innovations that support the company’s continued commitment to creating shared value for customers, stakeholders and the environment.
Westphal (pictured left) moves into the new role following ten years at Greif, having most recently held the position of Senior Environmental Manager where he led environmental compliance across Greif’s North American operations, as well as progressing zero waste to landfill initiatives globally.
Westphal said, “It’s a really exciting time to be moving into this position. We have seen a lot of technological advances in recent years that are becoming viable, and the next couple of years will see us make changes that will further our mission of helping customers protect the environment through the deployment of sustainable innovation.”
