Asia Pulp & Paper has confirmed that two of its companies — PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Tbk and PT OKI Pulp & Paper Mills — have received Level 5 of the ‘Green Industry Award’ from the Indonesian Ministry of Industry.
The award recognises companies that continue to implement and improve sustainability as the core of their supply chain strategy. Handing over the award was the Indonesian Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita.
“We are humbled by the recognition given by the Indonesian Ministry of Industry,” said Suhendra Wiriadinata, Director, APP Sinar Mass. “We believe that by continuing to promote and implement sustainable business practices, we will be able to increase the competitiveness of Indonesian industry in the global market, while safeguarding the environment, in line with our Sustainability Roadmap Vision 2030.”
