Green Award 2025 for Moovmor

Moovmor have been awarded the Green Awards 2025 The Green Collaboration Award in conjunction with Hollister Incorporated, Bourke Waste and Ewa Controls.

The Green Awards recognise outstanding sustainability efforts by Irish Businesses and these prestigious awards are held annually at the end of February with a glittering awards ceremony in the Clayton Hotels Burlington Road in Dublin.

Hollister Incorporated who are a global medical device manufacturer located in the west of Ireland, having completed a process review of one of their waste streams identified several issues in the process. As part of the solution to the process issue Moovmor supplied them with a MTP Transpaker Compactor system with a Bespoke Bin Tipper for Hollisters in house waste carts. The Transpaker Compactor compacts the material directly into an Articulated Ejector Trailer for direct transportation to the end processing location.

By implementing the use of this system, they eliminated five Steps from an original eight step process and in doing so reduced their CO2 emissions by 61,260kg per annum – which is the equivalent of 11,000 cars per annum. The overall process also resulted in considerable costs savings within the waste stream as well as increasing productivity within the production process, creating a leaner cleaner environment.

Moovmor have been heavily involved with Irelands DRS (Deposit Return Scheme) which has been in operation since February 2024 with over 1 billion bottles passing through a Moovmor Transpacker during the recycling logistics process.
