Founded in 1906, CITO can look back on a successful history. With four product ranges, they drive innovation and set new standards: BoxLine offers expert solutions for the die-cutting process for folding cartons, corrugated packaging and displays. FormLine brings together components and solutions for the manufacture of cutting dies. PrintLine supplies innovative systems for offset printing presses, with the focus on inline finishing, as well as cleaning agents for flexographic printing. And the measuring instruments of the ProcessLine range optimise processes in printing, diemaking and post-processing.
With Future.Space., Cito is opening a new chapter. The project is about more than just expanding its sites: it’s about greater proximity, faster processes and greater innovative strength. A vision that is reflected in every area and is now being realised step by step.
Oliver Kellermann, Managing Director and CSO, says, “For many years, our relationship has been more than just cooperation: it is a partnership characterised by trust, reliability and shared successes. We develop solutions that redefine precision, efficiency and cost-effectiveness. I can say with complete conviction that Cito is now on the cusp of something big and new. I am proud to be playing a leading role in shaping this fascinating journey into a new era. Following an extensive planning phase and with our vision clearly in mind, we are now embarking on the implementation of this forward-thinking project for the future.”
Three new areas form the foundation of this development:
- Cito Business Campus;
- Cito Tech Campus;
- Cito Logistics Campus.
The Business Campus is creating a place where collaboration is being reimagined. From summer 2026, all employees will be based at a single site in Germany – united under one roof, bound by shared goals. Modern working environments, clear structures and short lines of communication lay the groundwork for faster decision-making, more efficient processes and more intensive interaction. Particularly in customer-related areas, continuous exchange is essential in order to respond effectively to market needs.
The Tech Campus – technology that shapes the future. Planning and expansion of the new production sites has already begun. In this way, the company is laying the groundwork for production expansion, new processes and more sustainable manufacturing, as well as more efficient production workflows with lean processes and short distances. Additional production and storage capacity creates space for increasing demand, new products and innovative manufacturing processes. Energy efficiency and sustainability are firmly embedded within Cito and are consistently taken into account right from the planning stage. Modern standards in energy and environmental technology are an integral part of the overall concept.
A significant milestone in this development is the construction of the Logistics Campus in Genk, Belgium. A state-of-the-art logistics centre is being built there, with significantly expanded capacity; through standardised processes and optimised workflows, it will lay the foundations for efficient and scalable logistics. The first products will be dispatched from the new logistics centre as early as the second half of 2026.
The new site opens up new opportunities and prospects for the company and its customers: its geographical location in the heart of Europe ensures excellent connections to the main transport and logistics axes. Employees with extensive expertise in logistics ensure that processes run reliably and are highly standardised. State-of-the-art warehousing, dispatch and IT systems will be used to ensure maximum efficiency.
The company is thus laying the foundations for smart, high-performance and future-proof logistics. Future.Space. is paving the way for a successful and dynamic future, in which the company will further consolidate its position as a recognised global player in the field of printing and paper conversion. This involves offering Cito-branded products and services that set the standard in their class and provide genuine added value to the industry.
