Many Asian corrugators are configured with tandem slitter scorers. Consequently, E+L has developed the TrimMaster Tandem Solution.
The TrimMaster Tandem Solution ensures that producers of corrugated board can minimise their paper waste by ensuring that the minimum side trim width, which also provides customers with the opportunity to reduce the width of the input paper reel, which is usually a reduction by 50mm. The system overcomes the process issue of angular deviation of the board from the machine centre line and ensures that the second slitter scorer is positioned accurately and automatically at the order change and continually guided to the correct position throughout the entire order length.
The first installation of the TrimMaster Tandem Solution took place in October at a customer in Taiwan and the result was that the process problem of the angular board was eradicated, leaving the user satisfied with the latest development, which complements E+L’s proven TrimMaster Slitter Scorer Guiding System.
