A fifth Bickers Gluejet XY Gluer has been installed at London, UK-based Wilmot-Budgen Ltd recently. The first Bickers Glue Plotter was installed at Wilmot-Budgen in 2009 which led to further installs in the years that followed.
This new XY Glue Plotter is mainly used for gluing high end FSDU display work in small and large quantities. This new Gluejet is a 2m x 3m machine with turbo fast, triple gluing heads that can apply up to 3 lines of glue (hot melt & PVA) in a single pass. The installation was carried out by our Bickers UK engineers Jan and Jacob Stevens.
Neil Thayer of Finishline Machinery, (UK & Irish Sales Agent for Bickers), says, “The Gluejet from Bickers is really popular, with 70 machines now installed in the UK and Irish markets alone with many more installs on the way. Key features include glue application speeds of up to 6m per sec and full access from any side around the machine, which is essential for gluing display units with multiple parts.”
