Faller Packaging has confirmed it will start producing folding cartons at its new site in Horsens, Denmark, in late summer 2025.
The new plant will complement Faller Packaging’s existing facility in Hvidovre, Denmark, and is a targeted response to the growing demand for pharmaceutical packaging. The plan is to increase total capacity in Denmark to around 900 million units per year. In Horsens alone, the packaging manufacturer plans to produce up to 600 million folding cartons per year.
“The new factory is lean and combines efficiency and quality. This not only allows us to significantly increase capacity, but also strengthens our customer service on site,” explains Christian Holmskov, Managing Director. “A major advantage of the new plant is that the modern full-format printing presses enable a much higher output per sheet than the half-format technology previously used.”
Faller Packaging will produce exclusively in Horsens, while the administrative processes will remain in Hvidovre. Both plants work closely together – while Hvidovre acquires new customer projects and produces and finishes special and standard folding cartons, the new subsidiary in Horsens, 250km away, takes on large series jobs.
