ePac Flexible Packaging is to install the first of its fleet of Fujifilm Jet Press FP790 water-based inkjet digital flexible packaging presses at the company’s newest and largest facility, located in Phoenix, Arizona.
ePac and Fujifilm have entered into a strategic partnership that will see the international flexible packaging manufacturer install Jet Press FP790 presses in locations around the world.
ePac Pheonix is a brand-new production facility and the largest in ePac’s network. It has been opened to meet accelerating demand for digitally printed flexible packaging across the Southwest region of the US and to bring ePac’s fast turnaround times closer to brand owners across the continent.
By establishing a local presence in the Southwest, ePac will offer brands in the surrounding areas faster shipping, localised support, and the ability to launch new products with speed and agility.
This will be supported with the installation of the first of a new generation of digital production presses, intended to allow ePac to expand its offering to the flexible packaging industry through industrial-scale water-based inkjet digital printing. This complement’s ePac existing production footprint, which has been established and built using HP Indigo’s liquid electrophotographic (LEP) printing technology.
“The opening of our Phoenix plant is a major milestone in our mission to help brands of all sizes grow and compete,” said Virag Patel, CEO, ePac Flexible Packaging. “We have seen incredible demand from the Southwest, and this new facility allows us to serve those customers locally.
