EM Project introduces automatic in-feed system for ULTRA boxmaking machine

EM Project has introduced a new Automatic In-Feed Vacuum Table for its BOXmaker ULTRA, designed to automate corrugated sheet feeding and reduce operator workload during on-demand box production.

The new module automatically lifts, aligns and feeds three- and five-layer corrugated board up to 10mm thick directly into the machine, removing the need for manual sheet feeding and supporting increased production efficiency and workplace safety.

The BOXmaker ULTRA offers production speeds of up to 1,600 boxes per hour, with changeovers between FEFCO codes and box styles possible in approximately 30 seconds. The system also combines gluing and integrated flexographic printing within a single-pass production process.

According to BOXmaker, the new automatic in-feed technology is intended to increase automation across short-run and on-demand corrugated box manufacturing while reducing manual handling requirements.
