After careful consideration, The European Flexographic Industry Association are disappointed to announce that the upcoming annual EFIA Awards ceremony will not be going ahead on the planned date due to the escalating Coronavirus situation.
Following the Prime Minister’s COBRA meeting on 12 March 2020 and the resulting actions from that assembly, we have taken the decisive measure to postpone the ceremony for 2020 so as not to cause any risk to attendees and to prevent the unnecessary spread of the virus. A new date will be proposed in due course.
“This is not a decision we have taken lightly but the health and safety of our guests remains paramount in our thoughts, particularly with guests travelling in from around the world,” said Neil Jones, Chairman of EFIA.
