Dunapack Eurobox Polska Sp.z.o.o., a subsidiary of Austrian Prinzhorn Group, has aquired a 12 ha site to build a new green-field corrugated packaging plant in Poland. The Lubliniec plant will be the second location in Poland for the company; it will be equipped with state-of-the- art equipment, including a 2.8m high-speed corrugator, several multi-colour printing and die-cutting machines. “This will support our group integration strategy and improve our environmental footprint through high resource and energy efficiency,” said Cord Prinzhorn, CEO of the family-owned Prinzhorn Group. The investment will allow the company to continue the success of Dunapack Eurobox, further improve the service and strengthen the regional coverage.
“Following our entry into Poland in 1999, we have continuously grown. Now we need to increase our local presence with an additional plant to keep up with our customers’ demand. Modern and efficient machinery, combined with first class delivery service, will provide a solid platform to serve existing and new customers,” continued Mr Prinzhorn.
With the development of the new plant, Dunapack will have two corrugated plants in Poland. The Dunapack Division is currently represented in 10 countries, with 18 corrugated plants and produces 1.8 billion sqm of corrugated per annum.
Alexander Enzenberg, Managing Director of Dunapack Packaging Division said, ” With increasing complexity in marketing and logistics, packaging solutions face new challenges every day. Our customers need innovative and strong packaging suppliers like Dunapack to secure their market positions for the future. Our new plant in Lubliniec will provide another landmark in the dynamic Polish packaging market to support this development.”
