Downtime on PM5 at Leipa

It has been reported that the German paper producer, Leipa Georg Leinfelder, is set to take downtime for one week on PM5. The machine in question produces white uncoated testliner.

Leipa is reported to have said that the order situation has weakened and inventories have been building up. The temporary down time in the second half of June will take out about 10,000 tonnes of production.

The company is reported to have then said that if the market does not return to normal in the coming weeks, it would take more downtime on both PM3 and PM5 in the following months. However, Leipa confirmed that supply to customers would not be affected by and planned downtime.
