Domtar close to resuming operations following $350m renovation

Domtar has said its Kingsport, Tennessee mill is inching closer to resuming normal operations after it underwent a $350m renovation to begin making containerboard. Officials say the public may see and hear periodic steam releases on-site in the next weeks as the mill returns to normal operations.

The steam releases began around the clock from September 26 through October 9. Domtar says this is necessary to clean and prepare newly-installed steam pipes at the site.
