It has been reported that German packaging group, Delkeskamp, plans to close its paper mill in Nortrup.
The company is quoted as saying that the increase in energy costs is one of the main reasons. The company had already announced plans to close the paper mill in Nortrup in March 2022, but was able to continue production for the time being due to the support of customers, suppliers and other stakeholders at the time.
The mill produces 135,000 tonnes of containerboard per year and employs around 70 people.
