Kent-based Delga are upgrading their existing HP Indigo following the expiry of its lease, choosing the latest Indigo 15K which, since installation, has given the organisation increased flexibility due to the wider substrate weight configuration, further enhancing their offering.
Delga are continuously looking to evolve and push the boundaries within digital packaging, labels, and commercial printing due to the array of commissions and customers they hold, looking for the most innovative and highest quality digital printing option.
The converter has recently been selected as a finalist in the Digital Labels & Packaging Awards 2024. The project was entered as an example of variable data printing for the benefit of the brand and its customers. The cartons were produced for a well-established UK supplement brand. This requirement of multiple SKUs, of varying quantities, with variable data, lends itself perfectly to digital print production. The brand was keen to maintain the high quality of their previously litho-produced cartons and the HP Indigo Digital Press at Delga fulfilled that requirement.
The installation of the Indigo 15K has ensured that Delga can now print material lower than 130gsm in B2 format, with their digital print capabilities significantly enhanced. With the capability to print in B3 and B2 format, onĀ up to 600 micron folding boxboard, and labels, means that that the Rochester based company truly are a one stop shop for high quality, multi SKU printing.
