David Hamer, CEO, Pakawaste Ltd, has recently been announced as the winner of this year’s SME500 UK Award of Europe CEO of the Year for 2025.
The SME500 Awards are presented by EMG Publishing Ltd and celebrate achievements in small and medium-sized enterprises. Category winners earn recognition from the awards panel based on analysis of comprehensive personal and business achievement criteria.
Winners of the ‘Europe CEO of the Year for 2025’ have done much more than demonstrate exceptional financial metrics; they need to have shown an outstanding contribution within their domain. They will have displayed exemplary leadership and team management that exhibit both their personal achievements and the crucial role they played within their business.
Hamer was appointed as CEO back in 2013 and has kept the group focused on its key objectives, growth, and developing its core business, whilst expanding the rental and service offering to domestic markets and expanding its overseas presence.
Hamer commented, “I’m incredibly proud of everything we’ve achieved at Pakawaste. This award means a great deal to me and everyone here at Pakawaste.”
