With 10 existing facilities in Chile, Corrupac Coipsa has confirmed it has completed the acquisition of a corrugated board plant in Graneros from International Paper – now its 11th site in the country.
The operation represents a significant milestone in the growth strategy of Coipsa, a company with more than 35 years of experience and a business model that connects waste management, recycled paper production and the development of packaging solutions.
With this integration, Corrupac will double its production capacity and strengthen its presence in strategic segments, such as the mass consumer goods, protein, fruit, retail, and logistics markets. At the same time, it will complement its existing operations in Pudahuel and San Bernardo, generating new production capacity and greater coverage for its customers. In this way, Corrupac will be able to respond more flexibly to its customers’ needs, strengthen its value proposition, and consolidate a more competitive position within the corrugated cardboard industry in Chile.
The Graneros plant has a significant track record in the Chilean corrugated board industry. Since its opening in 1999, it has supplied various production sectors, especially the industrial and agricultural markets, establishing itself as a strategic operation for the development of packaging solutions in the south-central region of the country.
“This integration opens a new chapter for Corrupac, but it also invites us to move forward responsibly. It’s not just about growing in capacity, but about doing it well, ensuring continuity of service, listening to our customers, and learning from our new team,” said Ignacio Matte, General Manager, Corrupac.
