CorrBoard launched cardboard collections initiative

CorrBoard UK has launched a new cardboard collections initiative, inviting local schools and community groups to benefit from donated cardboard as part of its ongoing sustainability approach.

The initiative builds on CorrBoard’s commitment to reusing waste materials and supporting local communities. By donating the off cuts of its cardboard, the business aims to provide practical resources that can be used for learning, creative projects, and community activities, at a time when access to materials is increasingly challenging for many organisations.

CorrBoard has previously worked with local groups on a smaller scale, providing cardboard for a range of uses. This new initiative reinforces and expands that support, allowing more schools and community groups to access materials while ensuring product that would otherwise be recycled is put to further use. The team will work directly with participating schools and community groups to arrange the delivery of cardboard at a date and time that suits their needs.

Amanda Slinn, HR Manager, CorrBoard, comments, “We have seen first-hand the value that the off cuts of our cardboard can offer when it is put into the hands of the local community. With this new initiative, we want to extend that support further and make it easier for schools and community groups to access materials they genuinely need. At a time when budgets are under pressure, reusing resources in this way makes perfect sense for both sustainability and community impact.”

CorrBoard is now encouraging schools, charities, and community groups within the local area to get in touch with their proposals, outlining how they would use the donated cardboard.
