Contact Originators set for further expansion

Contact Originators has confirmed that despite a serious fire at its Bredbury, Stockport site at the beginning of the year, the company has still attained its budget for 2020, thanks to the support of staff, suppliers, customers and competitors. As a result, the company is now further expanding its investment in staffing.

Steve Mulcahy, CEO of Contact Group, commented, “2020 has been a challenging year for many and we’ve certainly had our share of bad luck with the fire and then COVID-19 creating difficulties for the industry. With the support of our supply partners, alongside the resilience and tenacity of the Contact team in maintaining our quality, innovation and service focus, we have accomplished our budget and now investing in bringing new talent into the business. These appointments are key to our 2021 expansion plans at our recently announced new site in Dukinfield, Manchester.”

The company has recently expanded its logistics team and made new appointments to its packaging artworking and origination departments, adding more than 70 years’ experience to the team. The appointments include Anton Butel and Julian Beckett.

Butel has joined the High Quality Post Print (HQPP) artwork department. Beckett has joined the Quality Control department.

Mulcahy concludes, “It’s an absolute pleasure to be bringing new people into the team at such an exciting time. Julian and Anton bring years of expertise, skills and knowledge that will benefit the business and our customers. 2021 holds a great deal of promise for us and I’m looking forward to the months ahead!”
