Contact expands capabilities with Flexo Hub

Contact Originators has strengthened its origination services to the flexographic printing industry with the launch of a new dedicated studio facility in Louth, Lincolnshire.

This new facility, the ‘Flexo Hub’, forms an extension of Contact Originators’ HQ in Dukinfield, enhancing the company’s technical services to its print customers. The studio is the first of many similar hubs planned across the UK and overseas, supporting Contact’s expansion across the European market.

Underpinning the growth of the business, the Flexo Hub will offer a comprehensive suite of services for flexographic packaging pre-press, with the latest in proofing software, retouching techniques and print analysis.

Shaun Mettam, Print Solutions Architect, will lead the new Flexo Hub. His 30 years-plus expertise promises to further reinforce Contact Originators’ commitment to print excellence. Mettam and the Flexo Hub will support Contact’s technical team in Dukinfield, including Mark Kay, Colour Manager, Callum Wild, Studio Manager, and Graham Shimmin, Technical Account Manager.

“Creativity and technical expertise are the heart of Contact Originators,” states Steve Mulcahy, CEO, Contact Originators. “Our team’s proficiency, combined with the latest industry software and technologies, enables us to support customers in all aspects of flexo pre-press. From developing artwork to ensuring laser-sharp colour precision once the job rolls off the press, Contact Originators is committed to enabling our customers to achieve exceptional results.”

With further studios slated for development, the Flexo Hub initiative not only strengthens the company’s local presence, but also its ability to cater to national and international demand. It also demonstrates how the company offers employees greater flexibility in terms of where they are based when working, enabling them to ‘hot desk’ at multiple locations according to client needs and requirements.
