Olivier Toutin of CM Service Italia has confirmed the company recently installed a Bobst Flexo 1600 one colour flexo printer, inline with a Bobst SPO 1600 at Model Pakiranja dd in Zagreb, Croatia. The production line was completely disassembled and overhauled, including mechanical and electrical overhaul according to CE guidelines. The refurbished line was installed and commissioned in January 2019.
The plant produces a wide range of FEFCO box styles for many different types of customers. The Zagreb plant became part of the Model Group in 2001, following the acquisition of Lovincic d.d. The refurbished production line has been added in order to increase capacity, because in 2018, the plant had a 14% increase in sales.
Edoardo Finotti, CTO at Model AG, says, “The retrofit project with the SPO machine has been carried out very well. In October 2018, we transported the old machine from Poland to Italy to carry out the extensive retrofit there. The machine was completely dismantled, cleaned, repaired, parts replaced, new electrical parts assembled and then reassembled. We are positively surprised with what can be done to old machines with such upgrades. We are very satisfied with the whole project process.”
