Cepac Rawcliffe achieves BRCGS AA+ grade

Cepac’s Rawcliffe site has achieved the BRC (British Retail Consortium) Global Standard with an AA+ grade for its secondary packaging materials.

This accreditation is globally recognised and covers all aspects of the manufacturing process, reflecting the complexities of maintaining robust customer supply chains as well as guaranteeing the quality of packaging products. The Rawcliffe site team successfully completed a rigorous audit programme to achieve the BRCGS grading, resulting in the best possible score for the more rigorous issue 6 standard. This achievement comes after a significant 12-month focused change programme at the Rawcliffe site, which has included investment in facilities and welfare provisions at the plant for its teams.

Nigel Hobson, Head of Sales and Strategy Development at Cepac Rawcliffe, said, “The BRCG standard will support the site to serve new markets, as part of our strategic approach to business development. We can be proud of this achievement which reflects the hard work and dedication of the entire team at Rawcliffe. This means we can continue to deliver exceptional quality products for our customers which are now benchmarked against a global standard. We serve a wide range of customers requiring the highest standards and we understand the responsibility that comes alongside that in terms of packaging quality and traceability, so it is great to have the BRCGS accreditation.”
