UK-based Weedon PSC is continuing to expand production capacity to meet increased demand for online retail packaging by investing in an additional Century large-format die-cutter, supplied by ID Machinery.
The new die-cutter, which runs twice as fast as the company’s existing equipment, is now fully operational at the company’s factory in Hednesford, Staffordshire, increasing the die-cutting capacity by 33%.
The addition of the die-cutter follows the recent installation of a new strapper at the Weedon Group’s Manchester factory. The two machines are part of the Weedon Group’s investment to accommodate changing retail patterns and the growth in online shopping during the pandemic.
