Centralpack Embalagens, located in Brazil, has recently begun installation of their new Heidelberg Speedmaster CX 102 printing press.
Gimenes Silva, General Manager of Centralpack commented, “Now the printing production will happen autonomously. The new Speedmaster CX 102 technology allows a standalone production, without interruptions and with reduction in contact points.”
The Speedmaster CX 102 is able to handle almost all changes in commercial, label, and packaging printing, and can process all materials, from lightweight paper to rigid cardboard, all of which will benefit Centralpack and their wide portfolio of customers. The machine, which arrived in early 2021, configured to meet the demands of the pharmaceutical, food, hygiene and cleaning and personal care markets. To supply the new printer, the Suprasetter A106 CTP with automatic plate feeding was also purchased.
According to Gimenes, the ease of integration of the printing press with the installed machinery was important. “With the acquisition of the CX 102 with Prinect Image Control, we can make the connection with the machines we have at home, increasing the quality of the material we already produce.” The new printer represents Centralpack’s first step towards autonomous production.
