Cascades has made a $6.9m investment in its Kingsey Falls recycled uncoated cardboard manufacturing mill with the aim of increasing production capacity of equipment as well as product quality.
Since last September, Cascades has installed several new pieces of equipment to improve film quality control. These investments will significantly enhance the film’s properties, better meeting the needs of the food packaging industry, particularly in terms of surface finish and printing. This project is a key driver for strengthening Cascades’ position in this market, supporting its growth, and ensuring its long-term competitiveness.
“This project will allow us to increase our capacity so that we can continue to be a partner of choice for our customers. It demonstrates our ongoing commitment to investing in our assets in Quebec to accelerate our growth. I would like to thank the employees who participated in the installation of this equipment. Their expertise and dedication made this project a real success,” said Hugues Simon, President and CEO, Cascades.
