Cartomedoc has invested in a Barmatec Multigluer 1700GT folder/gluer to support its focus on flexible, high-quality production for customers across the aeronautic, defence, food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic sectors.

Based in the Médoc region near Bordeaux and owned and managed by the Degenne family, Cartomedoc serves a diverse customer base, including major manufacturing companies such as Ariane, Dassault and Daher. The company specialises in shorter production runs and rapid delivery, offering both digital colour printing in a 2000 x 4000mm format and flexographic printing.
To further enhance its production capabilities, Vincent Degenne contacted Barmatec representative Howard Norman-Taylor to identify a folder gluer capable of handling a wide range of box styles, including challenging small-panelled crash lock boxes, larger formats and standard case production. The Barmatec Multigluer 1700GT was selected for its ability to handle smaller glue flaps with difficult creasing, while also allowing quick format changes from large regular slotted cartons (RSCs) to crash lock designs within minutes.
The machine is equipped with a Baumer hhs cold adhesive application system and Beckhoff onboard electronics, supporting fast changeovers and straightforward operation. It can also be configured to automatically bundle finished boxes into packs ready for strapping and despatch.
Designed with operator usability in mind, the Multigluer 1700GT is intended to provide flexibility, reliability and ease of operation for Cartomedoc’s varied production requirements.
