CAD table investment brings added benefits to Boxes & Packaging

An AG/CAD DYSS X5 table has been installed at Boxes and Packaging (Manchester) with one to follow shortly at Boxes and Packaging (Oxford).

The tables, whilst having the same dimensions as the outgoing models, deliver much faster performance speeds than the previous models and will increase capacity for designing and producing essential customer samples, production ready samples and boxes for transit trials.

The digital cutter delivers precision cutting across a range of materials from E flute to CA flute, all the way through to heavy duty board giving the design teams added capabilities to support customer needs and production requirements.

Ian Pierce, designer at Boxes and Packaging (Manchester) commented, “This is a superb investment for the Manchester team and whilst the technology is the same as our previous table the more modern and upgraded capabilities will have a real impact on our day to day design and business operations.”

To ensure AG/CAD tables across the group operate efficiently at all times an enhanced maintenance and servicing partnership has also been formed with the provider.

“Having high levels of design technology and sample making abilities will help us to continue our high levels of service to all our customers, not just at Manchester but across the group as a whole,” said Paul Gavin, Managing Director, Boxes and Packaging (Manchester). “From standard samples, all the way through to bespoke requirements for UN testing, transit trials, and pre-production trials the entire group has the capabilities to work with our customers to design and sample our products prior to full production runs taking place or to facilitate detailed testing requirements.”
