The Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) has introduced a new logo for its World Council of Recycling Associations (WCRA), marking an important milestone in recognising the vital role this body plays in global recycling advocacy.
The World Council of Recycling Associations serves as a platform, bringing together the elected leaders and heads of permanent staff from 36 national recycling associations worldwide. It provides an essential forum for the exchange of ideas and best practices, and plays a crucial role in shaping BIR’s strategic roadmap as the leading global recycling federation.
“I am proud of the achievements of WCRA over the last years,” said Susie Burrage, President, BIR. “Joining forces between all national associations gives us incredible impact and influence. By giving the World Council its own logo, we want to pay tribute to this collaborative strength and highlight its importance within the BIR family.”
The new logo symbolises WCRA’s unity and global reach, reflecting its commitment to driving legislative and environmental action on behalf of the recycling industry. This visual identity will be prominently featured in all World Council communications and activities, reinforcing its position as a key driver of BIR’s mission.
The BIR World Council of Recycling Associations remains committed to fostering collaboration, promoting best practices and advocating for policies that support a sustainable and circular economy.
