Biffa has confirmed that Suffolk County Council has given approval for a significant investment and upgrade for its Masons materials recovery facility. The site is located close to Ipswich.
The Council says that this latest investment will support the county’s transition to a dual-stream household recycling system from this year, when residents will separate recycling into two collections as part of the rollout of ‘Simpler Recycling’ for households.
Biffa says that the change is designed to improve the quality of recyclable materials, and also confirmed that this investment project has secured an 10 year extension to the disposal contract with the Council.
